TV Antenna install - with a helicopter!

You have to hand it to the guys guiding the antenna in to place at 650' off the ground. Crazy!

Here is video shot in 2000 of a TV antenna installation with a helicopter. It was on the new 650 foot tower atop Rib Mountain in Wausau Wisconsin.

Cool video. A bit frustrating but cool.

The one fellow seems to be getting po'ed after the rope is pulled out of his hand for the second or third time and slaps the top of the tower. :)

That's not a very tall tower compared to a lot of them (being on the top of a mountain it doesn't have to be, of course) but can you imagine climbing up even that far? That stuff gives me the willies just thinking about it.

Then again I'd imagine after doing it four or five times a person would get use to it and even look forward to seeing the view and joking about it, "Hey, I can see my house from up here!"
:)

I saw a video like this for WNVC-DT in Fairfax VA. I think the video was on WUSA's website though I'm not sure.
