TV is zoomed in and I don't know how to zoom back out! Help!

Ok, Hi. I have a Philips flat panel TV and it's currenty zoomed in on all of the channels and I can't get it to back out of it. How do I zoom out? There isn't a zoom button on my remote! Please help! I would be so greatful if someone can give me the answer soon. I've tried turning the TV off and back on and that didn't help. Do you think it's broke?

Go to the MENU

Yea. Philips menu really is bad... let me see if I can remember...

press MENU
goto picture or settings... you should find it there.

All tv sets should have a zoom button on the remote that doesn't make you dig into the menu to change.

Philips, get a clue!


NOTE: get yourself a unversal remote, it makes operation easier than the remote that came with your TV.

Yeah, it's zoom buttons are hard to find sometimes on remotes, seems like they're labled differently for each TV. I know just looking at my Mitsubishi remote right now that I have to press the FORMAT button to get it to switch with different zoom modes.

Are you running it OTA or with a cable or satellite box? In this case it could be either the TV or the box. Don't rule out a combination of both as well.

Man this took me FOREVER to figure out how to fix this. Can't believe how easy it is to accidentally press a button and zoom the tv in but almost impossible to zoom it back out!

For anyone that is struggling with this issue here is how I finally got the tv back to normal. Press the menu button and go to 3D mode, turn it on. It will RESET the zoom setting back to normal. Then simply turn 3D mode off (unless you want it on..). Problem fixed!

its because you're probably on av 1 or av 2 or some other thing like that U have to be on hdmi that is how its going to look the best

I fixed it by going to the menu and when I couldn't find a zoom setting I reset the picture settings to factory default and that fixed it. (In case anyone else cant find the zoom settings specifically)

I am trying to zoom out on my philips tv (model 40pfl3705d) but there is no "format" button on my remote. Is there another way to do this?

Thank you! I picked up two remotes at once and some buttons got mashed but I wasn't even looking! Next thing I know the picture is too big and I didn't know how to fix it. What you said to do worked.
