Tv remote app test - XFinity

After last update, Xfinity Remote TV app does not seem to connect. I cannot set programs for DVR recording. The app does remember my favorite channels. The app lists an available TV device, but when I test that devide, the device name does not appear on the screen, as it apparently should. Is there a fix?
