TV service not working due to database error - XFinity

My TV service has been out for over a week despite the best efforts of a premise technician and a member of the Advanced Repair Team (ticket #CR634147223). This is not a problem with equipment in my residence or with the lines. The box has been replaced several times and is able to make a connection with signal quality reported as "good" both upstream and downstream. The latest information I've been given is that the rate codes in the database are missing or incorrect, making it appear that the box is not activated. Why it should take more than a few minutes to correct the database problem is beyond my understanding.

Can anyone suggest an alternative to cancelling my service and going with another provider?
