Two tv's hooked up to one xfinity (XG1-P) receiver - XFinity

#1
For Two tv's hooked up to one xfinity (XG1-P) receiver, XFinity-Comcast TV equipment I have two tv's hooked up to one XG1-P receiver. TV 1 is hooked up via hdmi and TV2 is hooked up by component cables. For some reason I have to have TV1 turned on for TV2 to display video. Is there a setting that can be adjusted so that I do not have to have TV1 turned on to see video display on TV2?

Since your reader is reading the HDMI connection to TV1 and consequentially allowing output to TV2, so when TV1 one is no output can be made to TV2. The best solution for this is to get a companion set-top box with HDMI for one of the TV sets at a cost of $10/month about 30cents per
