I want to be able to monitor my data usage to avoid overage charges. I do not want to buy an unlimited data plan.
Customer data usage is updated online once per day. If real-time data usage is not available, AT A MINIMUM, hourly updates to customer data usage should be available. Only updating the usage data once per day makes it extremely difficult for customers to make sure they do not exceed their data caps.
For example, say I look online in the morning and see that I have 20GB remaining in my plan. If I have video calls during the day, I have no idea if I can stream entertainment that evening without overage charges. This is a pretty awful customer experience. It would be much better to be able to check my data usage at the end of the workday.
Better still would be not to charge overages at all during a pandemic.
