We're more interested in audio for emergencies instead of tv

What if we want a TV we can listen to while walking or in the car? Audio more important than video. (Substitute for nice inexpensive TV radio that carries audio for tv channels.)

The emergency broadcast system (EBS) will work with a battery powered digital tv (DTV). The DTV would need to be set up in a stationary location. If you were traveling by car, foot or other, you would want a good radio for emergency information. Currently there isn't an option for a walkman type DTV receiver unless you live in Japan.

The US is in the earliest stage of DTV and I wouldn't expect much time to pass before we see a similar device here in the US.
