What kind of routers are compatible with Comcast internet?

morning - most of the more well known brands are compatible with our service. i have mine set-up at home with a Netgear wireless g band router. But that is not say that any of the other ones just as good, Netgear is just my personal preference. When you make a purchase shoot us an email at we_can_help@cable.comcast.com and one of my techoos can assist you through the set-up if you would like.
Yes but what model numbers and manufactures are compatible with Comcast?
Here's a list from Comcast's website

1. Wireless Gateway Model # SMCD3GNV or TG852G
2. Netgear Model # WNR1000
3. Netgear Model # WNR3500
4. Linksys Model # WRT310N
5. Netgear Model# WGR614v8
6. Linksys Model # WCG200v 1 and 2
7. Linksys BEFCMUH4

but as Doug said, most wireless routers should work with their service.

Two definitions:

Modem: Device to connect your computer or network to your Internet Service Provider (ISP).

Router: Device to connect your computer to your network including your modem (which connects your network to your ISP).

If you have a modem that is compatible with your ISP, and a router that is compatible with your modem, you should be good to go!!!
