why cannot the video player actually work correctlly - DirecTV

I click on a movie and the video looks as if it will play but then says "Sorry, we ran into a problem. Please refresh the page and restart the video player."
I tried calling customer service and that was not at all what I expected, poor customer service to say the least. Who can I talk to about this issue and get it resolved?
