They're certainly in the hunt and should be well-positioned going in to the playoffs. They're not head-and-shoulders above the competition, though, and getting through four playoff rounds can come down to hot goaltending, luck, and momentum. They have the second-fewest goals against in the Western Conference, which is a good sign. Ryan Miller is really good and could get hot, but he's not a sure thing to carry them. The team has also scored the second-most goals in the league, but they don't rely on one superstar to carry them on offense. That's another good sign.
I guess my answer would be that they do indeed have enough talent to win the cup this season. That doesn't necessarily mean they will, of course, but they have a fair shot.
