Hi, I have one Winegard PS1403 Power Injector / Inserter for Pre-amp 18 Volt (PS-1403) for one TV, would I be able to use these on additional TVs in other rooms? I wasnt sure if it would be OK to use more than one. I sent an e-mail to the company about this, but they never replied. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

I see no problem, it's just a power supply for the amp. It is in-line between the antenna/preamp and the signal splitter, right?

From the top down you would have:

Antenna
pre-amp
power supply
splitter
TV, TV, TV, etc.

As long as your signal is strong enough, you should be able to run a couple tv sets. ( I am split to 6 sets in my house)

Hi wolfcrane!

What exactly do you plan to use it for? You can definitely use a power injector for multiple TVs if you're feeding off one preamp. You really only need one as you are sending power to the preamp. Additional TVs should be connected AFTER the power inserter to prevent voltage on the line from reaching your TVs.

My house is wired with coax cable, the antenna is connected to the outdoor amplifier, then connected to winegard power injector, then the digital tv converter, then the TV. I had planned to hook up tv's in the other rooms, to the already wired connections.Would it be safer for me to do it via splitter instead? BTW, this is Winegard's response: There would be no reason to use multiple power inserter's. Power inserter's are for amplifiers, they are not amplifiers themselves. If your just looking to split your signal out to multiple sets you could use the 2054 splitter. If you are looking to further amplify your system you could consider the HDA 100 perhaps. But adding additional 1403's will do nothing but degrade your signal overall.
Thanks.

I would probably use the existing wiring, just find where the current splitter is in the wiring is and place the power supply before the split using a short piece of RG6 coax.
